  1. RECONCILE INSTALLATION

  4. System requirements
  5. -------------------
  6. This version of Reconcile requires Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows 
  7. NT 3.50 or higher, with at least 226Kb of free memory and 245Kb of
  8. hard disk space.  If you are running Windows 3.10+ you should 
  9. install the 16-bit version instead (WINREC16.ZIP).

  12. Installation
  13. ------------
  14. To install Reconcile, you must use the setup program æSetup' 
  15. supplied with it. Setup will decompress and copy the program files. 
  16. It will also set up Reconcile in the Start menu and create links
  17. in Explorer.

  19. Please follow these steps:
  20.  
  21. * Start your computer and run Windows.  If you are already in
  22.   Windows, close all other applications, include Explorer.
  23.  
  24. * If the distribution files are in one file with the ZIP extension,
  25.   first decompress them into a temporary directory on your fixed
  26.   disk using a utility such as PKZip or WinZip.
  27.  
  28. * Select 'Run' from the Start menu and either type the directory in 
  29.   which Setup is located, followed by 'SETUP.EXE', or use 'Browse' to 
  30.   select that file.

  32. * Follow the installation instructions displayed by Setup.

  34. * If you have difficulty with these steps, please refer to your 
  35.   Windows documentation.
